Singer Song-Writer Recording Camp July 6-7
Four song writers will have a two-day camp experience at Archer Avenue Recording Studio. They will learn about pre-production, recording, and actually record an original song. The cost is $90 and space is limited. Please contact us to register.
Freeway Music Original Music Camp July 9-13
Four guitar players, bass players, and drummers will spend the week working on creativity. They will write parts to the Song-Writing Camp songs and perform the songs together on the last day. The cost is $225 and space is limited. Please contact us to register.
Glee Camp July 16-20
Freeway Music and Footnotes Dance Studio are hosting a camp featuring songs and performances from Glee. Please see the flyer for information. Also, if you wish to register, please download the registration form or come by Freeway Music to pick one up. Space is limited to 25. The cost is $225 if you register before June 1st and $250 if you register after June 1st.

My name is Don Russo. I started Freeway Music 3 years ago. We are a lesson studio located in Columbia, SC that provides private instruction on various instruments. I started this business because I am passionate about music, instruction, and my local community.
Why Freeway?
There are two ideas behind the name Freeway:
I spent time considering what has made me both successful and popular as a teacher. The first thing I thought of was the fact that I let the student dictate the direction they desire to go. Whether a student is interested in song writing, improvising, reading music, or just learning tunes, I give them the necessary tools. Whether they prefer Jazz, Blues, Rock, Classical, or another style, it does not matter. Our students are free to choose their way.
A freeway also represents a fast track to where you want to go, and that is exactly what we are. Self-taught players often struggle to get where they want to go and plateau or never reach their destination. At Freeway Music our instructors are qualified, personable, and experienced teachers that guide the students. This gives them the quickest and easiest path to their goals.
What we offer
We offer lessons on guitar, piano, drums, voice, bass, mandolin, saxophone, clarinet, flute, violin, viola, and cello. We have five recitals per year that include two solo recitals, two full band/ensemble recitals, and an original music project for select students. We occasionally have workshops for our students, and we are working hard on planning summer camps for next year. Our facilities are also professional, spacious, and dedicated fully to private instruction. When you walk into our studio, you know you are walking into a focused learning environment.
