Victoria K. Leitner earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a vocal performance certificate from the University of South Carolina.

During her time at USC, she focused her efforts on early childhood development, gaining experience teaching music to children 5 years old and under. Katie is so excited to offer an early childhood group music class to the community through Freeway PLAY.

She has acted as Choral Clinician for Lexington 1 SSA Middle School Choral Clinic and Richland 1 SATB Middle School Choral Clinic. She serves as an adjudicator for the South Carolina All-State Chorus and District Honors Choir. She has also been active in several community choirs. She is GIML level 1 certified and continues to seek out professional development opportunities to keep her skills sharp. In addition to classroom teaching at both the elementary and secondary levels, she has been teaching privately to children and adults for over 10 years.

She has been a Trustus Theatre company member and active performer in musical theater since 2009. She is the lead singer in a local band, plays guitar, and is a singer/songwriter. She has experience teaching voice to all ages, levels, and styles and piano and general music to young beginners. She has a passion for teaching, singing, and sharing her love of music with others. Most recently, she is the owner of our Freeway Music Irmo/Ballentine location!
