GENERAL INFO:

Students from Freeway Music Northeast (Blythewood) will be performing Sunday, May 21st, 2023 at Doko Meadows Park’s Palmetto Citizens Amphitheater! This year’s theme will revolve around songs whose title or band name pays homage to COLORS.

Time: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Location: 171 Langford Road Blythewood, SC 29016

Event Entry: FREE (Invite all of your friends and family!)

Participation Fee: $25/ performer

Rehearsals: We are holding rehearsals for this showcase on Saturday May 13th from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM At Freeway Music Northeast. Each song will be allotted a 30-minute rehearsal time. The Rehearsal Schedule is here. (Not to be confused with the Performance Setlist For Sunday May 21st.)

Doko Station Pub & Eatery will have food available, and we will also have Sweet Pea Ice-cream Truck on site!

BYO Tents, Chairs, and Fans! It gets toasty!

We will have David Walters Photography from NC as our photographer. Those photos of performers will be made available to families within a few weeks of the performance. We will not have a videographer, so feel free to get up close to take videos of your kiddos & friends!

There is no official “check-in” however we encourage you to arrive tuned up and ready to go approximately 15 minutes before your set starts. We also encourage participants to stay and cheer on the performers after them, if at all possible. We love for each performer to be able to feel the energy of a full audience!

We will have the final showcase setlist emailed to all participants one week prior to the show, and available via QR code at the Freeway Music Merch Tent.

The emcee will encourage performers to head back to the left of the stage two songs prior to theirs, where there will be a tuning tent area for them to gather at. Then, one song prior to theirs, performers should head up the stairs to the backstage area, where they will be able to tune and prepare to walk out to their mark on stage.
