Madeline Beitel, from Charlotte, NC, is a mezzo-soprano and graduate of the University of South Carolina. While working towards her Masters degree in Opera Theater at USC, Madeline studied with Dr. Tina Stallard, and served two years as an Opera at USC Graduate Assistant under the direction of Ellen Douglas Schlaefer. Madeline earned her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from East Carolina University where she studied under Dr. Jami Rhodes. Madeline has appeared in productions including as Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel, Lizzie Borden in Jack Beeson’s Lizzie Borden, “Daphnis” in Daphnis et Chloe, and most recently as Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia. In the summer of 2016, Madeline served as a GAAP Apprentice Artist for GLOW Lyric Theater, and recently sang a premier performance at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. She now studies with Grammy winning Metropolitan Opera mezzo-soprano Victoria Livengood. In the summer of 2017 she sang leading roles in two Puccini operas as a featured singer in the Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy, and this summer, performed as a featured singer for Musiktheater Bavaria in Oberaudorf, Germany.
