Eniko Balazs
Eniko Balazs is a trumpet, piano, and voice instructor. Originally from Ohio, she has taught private students for over 20 years. Several of her students have been accepted to elite youth programs, such as Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus, Contemporary Youth Orhestra, and Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony. Not only does Eniko have experience teaching students between the ages of 4 and 80, but she also enjoys working with autistic and Asperger syndrome students. She graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor of Arts, instrumental performance degree. Eniko’s trumpet teachers were Gary Scott (former Las Vegas jazz trumpeter), Kathy Musat (band director and preparatory professor at Baldwin Wallace University), Ken Hollzworth, and Dr. Carly Johnson. She started her piano studies in Europe from the classically trained György Hausmann, then later in the US from Dr. Friedrick Koch and Dr. Ronald Napoli. Eniko was also a member of her church orchestra, playing trumpet and occasionally singing solos.
Eniko currently teaches Mondays and Tuesdays for Freeway Music Downtown Columbia.
