Heyward Moak
Heyward Moak is a voice instructor who grew up in Blythewood, South Carolina. She has teaching experience in grades K-12 as an after-school music educator, student teacher for several concert bands and choirs, and choral director at the middle and high school levels.
Heyward is a 2023 summa cum laude graduate of Coker University, where she received her bachelor’s in Choral Music Education. While furthering her education, she had the opportunity to perform as a soloist for Mozart’s “Gloria”, present a vocal recital containing multilingual works spanning many time periods, and sing alongside her choir at Carnegie Hall.
Although her degree led her to explore the more classical side of music, Heyward grew up performing and recording worship music and participating in community musical theatre and showcases. No matter the age, preferred genre, or experience level, she strives to nurture and grow her students’ love and appreciation for music.
