Michael Reid
Michael Reid is an accomplished teacher and performer of music. Michael teaches guitar, bass guitar, piano, ukulele, and voice.
He has been a part of the Columbia Music scene since 1999.
Michael has been involved in several band projects including Cover Story, The Good Times Band, and JagerTron. These acts cover a wide range of styles. Michael also enjoys playing solo acoustic music locally. Michael has had the honor to work at venues such as Columbia’s Town Theatre as the guitarist for “Always Patsy Cline”, and The Ritz Theater performing “GodSpell”, and “Anything Goes”.
Michael was the audio engineer for The Newberry Opera House from 2005-2006. Michael is honored to have performed all over the Pacific rim in Japan, S. Korea, Okinawa, Guam, Singapore, and Diego Garcia for The USAF, Navy, Army, and Marines employed by the MWR and DOD as a musician for the troops from 2002-2005.
Michael focuses on the individual students needs and goals for their own musical journey. His goal is to help his students reach their full potential and enjoy a lifetime of music.
