Two Fall Festivals To Put on the Calendar
Both Fall for Greenville and Jam Room Music Festival are FREE
It might have felt like we skipped winter in 2016 into 2017, but it feels like fall arrived early…but I hesitate to speak too soon knowing the unpredictable weather here in South Carolina. While summer is host to tons of huge national festivals like Coachella, Shaky Knees and Bonnaroo, and spring is host to plenty of regional festivals for up and coming bands and of course Freeway Music Fest here in Columbia, fall also holds a couple of weekends of music festivals close to home that you should mark on your calendar.
Since 2010 SceneSC’s been lucky to be one of the sponsors of Fall for Greenville and each year we look forward to seeing all of the local bands joining the headlining acts on the bigger stages. This year’s Fall for Greenville lineup features 4 music filled nights with strong headliners each night. Each headliner this year leans on the rock Americana side of the spectrum, with the October 15 headlining slot still to be announced. From there down the lineup becomes more eclectic mixing jazz, soul, jam bands and more. Also featured is tons of local music from the Upstate.
As for Jam Room Festival in Columbia, the lineup is yet to come, but is sure to have a strong headliner joined by some great local and regional bands, so keep an eye out for that.
